We are thrilled to announce Shelley Miller as our July featured member!
Shelley has been an integral part of RoughFit for an incredible 16 years. Inspired by watching the class complete 1000 step-ups, Shelley joined and has never looked back. Her dedication and hard work make her a true inspiration to everyone in the class.
Shelley always gives her best in every session, consistently pushing herself to new heights. She loves working out outdoors and cherishes the community that RoughFit offers. Shelley says, “The people and coaches I work out with truly care about each other, and I have made good friends. I look forward to seeing them each day.”
Before joining RoughFit, Shelley didn't consider herself much of a runner. However, since becoming a member, she has run several 10Ks, emerged as one of the fastest runners in our 8:30 AM class, and completed her first half marathon at the age of 50. Keeping up with Shelley in class is no easy feat; she doesn’t slow down until the very end. Her determination is truly admirable!
Her two boys, RJ and Casey, constantly challenge her with new goals, motivating her to stay active and engaged. Shelley proudly shares their achievements and loves competing with them.
Her commitment to fitness and health is evident. Shelley lost ten pounds in the Whole 30 Challenge and continues educating herself to stay fit. She can hold a three-minute plank and wall sit and works to improve her strength and endurance daily in class.
Shelley will be moving to Texas this summer, and we will miss her dearly. Her presence in class has been constant, and not having her around will be strange. We look forward to staying in touch and watching her achieve great things, like completing 81 miles in 8 days on a summer hiking trip that she is currently on! We feel incredibly lucky to have known Shelley all these years and wish her the best in her new adventure.
